The egg shelves were empty in our local Target. With a sign apologizing and saying they are trying to find other vendors. How? There are only so many egg vendors and all stores are trying to contract with them. How are they "going to find" someone else?
I'm getting the same rude awakening feeling as when I went into a store at the beginning of COVID and saw people scrambling for toilet paper and the empty shelves. "Is this COVID for real?" I said at the time. Now, I'm wondering if we at the beginning of critical egg shortages and continuing higher prices? How will this affect the food industry that relies on eggs? Will prices continue to go up? Will Bird Flu spread among human population?
