Woke up to 100 likes on a piece this morning.

I know that sounds small.

But I think spending so much time on short-form apps has made big numbers feel meaningless - a few hundred thousand views is so common that, for me at least, it doesn't really feel like anything. Whenever I've had a video go “viral” i’ve not thought much about what those sorts of numbers would look like.

This is different. Someone had to actually read the whole thing - and it’s long! - and then go back and like it. It was written past midnight from my bedroom and I had no idea if anyone would care.
