Sorry to come on here for a real life moan, but the ‘creative industries’ are terrifying right now. I pivoted to become a copywriter because the arse fell out of journalism and now I can’t be a copywriter if I don’t have ‘AI skills’ (whatever they are). Since March, every job title has changed to something bullshit like ‘Brand Storyteller’ and is basically a social content creator job using AI tools so you can do 12 people’s jobs at the same time. I’m not working with AI like it’s some kind of friendly fucking colleague. It’s deranged. This is what happens when people stop reading books. Thank god Substack still has words in it (for now, anyway!) 😭😭
