Mothers leaving young babies at daycare without being able to breastfeed on demand will never be normal. Until women understand the deep importance of this for life-long health — for both mother and baby — we will never galvanize a large enough mass of people to create the changes that will allow all mothers and babies to be together, supported by their communities, for those early years.
