Is it just me, or did we collectively decide that black and white films needed “fixing”?
They survived wars. Censorship. Bad subtitles.
But apparently what they couldn’t survive… was grayscale.
Some executive somewhere looked at a masterpiece and said, “Nice. Now make it beige.”
Black and white wasn’t a flaw. It was mood. It was shadow. It was mystery doing its job.
Not everything needs color. Some things were already complete. 🎬
