“Miss You” was released in 1978 as the first single from Some Girls and remained in history as one of the clearest moments when the Rolling Stones opened their sound toward disco and R&B without ever stopping sounding like the Stones. It became their eighth and final #1 in America and at the same time a song that divided part of their older audience, precisely because its bassline, horns, and drums gave it a sound that many heard as disco.
