Stallone’s first choice for the scene where the big song of Rocky III would go was Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust.” When Survivor received the initial rough cut of the movie, the scene where “Eye Of The Tiger” would later appear had been edited to that song. Peterik remembered that he and Frankie Sullivan were watching the punches land on screen and feeling that the song worked perfectly. They called Stallone and asked why he was not using it after all.
