Wonderwall Music was the instrumental album Harrison had written for the 1968 film Wonderwall, and it was the first solo album ever released by any member of The Beatles. When Noel came across that title, he thought something close to what he himself later described, that he had finally found a nice Beatles connection. So “Wishing Stone” became “Wonderwall.”
