Small town, neighborhood park, open space, children on school break doing what children are supposed to do, running, shouting, playing, sounding alive. And around them, of course, the usual ring of ugly new money houses, that beloved monument to the modern Greek obsession with property and silence. Then out come the young idiots onto the balconies to tell the kids to shut up. At what point they grew up and forgot they were once children too, only their shriveled souls can answer.
