Drawing the Line on Tariffs
In the ongoing spectacle of the Trump administration, the Epstein files have become the latest scandalous focus. Cartoonists are feverishly working to capture the tangled mess linking Trump to Epstein's notorious world. Yet, as intriguing as these tales are, they often become just another part of the endless cycle of controversies.
For Canadians, however, the pressing issue isn't the scandalous gossip—it's the economic impact of Trump's tariffs. Drawing inspiration from the infamous "Blame Canada" song from South Park, we shift focus to what truly affects us: the loonie tariffs imposed on our industries. While scandals may divert attention, the real strain is felt in our economy.
Picture a South Park-style scene with Pete Hoekstra, Donald Trump, and Howard Lutnick singing a parody of "Blame Canada”. A pie chart reveals the real border issues, while a bewildered beaver represents the tariff troubles. Hoekstra blames Canada, Trump labels us "mean and nasty," and Lutnick joins in—all while the real issues linger.
While many are getting lost in scandalous distractions, that let’s face it, won’t go anywhere, others are focusing on defending our industries and standing up for Canada. Because while scandals may make headlines, it's the tariffs that hit us hardest. And if our efforts are causing a stir, then we're on the right track.
