It would appear that Israel’s renewed bombing of South Lebanon is designed to derail US/Iran peace talks (if they really exist).

If they do exist, then I guess the US will have to agree to withdraw from the Middle East completely, But that leaves Israel isolated and at the mercy of vengeful Arabs and Iranians. No wonder Israel wants to stop any peace talks!
