Iran has been exploiting AI in warfare. This isn’t the only article about it. And the statement that these two apps from AI can perform operations “you don’t request” also concerns me I love AI. I truly do. But this isn’t something to just pass by and ignore. I know a lot of Substack writers think this is ridiculous. Maybe they didn’t see the case when ChatGPT admitted that the bot they created was used by a teenager originally for schoolwork by eventually helped him commit suicide and even wrote his suicide letter for him. If it’s not one instance, or two, now several dangerous uses of AI, do we just wait for the next tragedy 9r do we stop and figure out what the fuck is wrong with the design process and why aren’t limits being installed to protect these things. It reminds me of the movie “WarGames”.
