Responding to a reporter from The Madison Federalist, gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany commented on the departure of UW-Madison Chancellor Jennifer Mnookin: “I wish Dr. Mnookin the best out at Columbia, thank her for her service here to UW-Madison, and I'm anxious to see who the regents are going to interview. […] I hope they do a search for someone that is going to serve the people of Wisconsin the best, that is going to propel that Wisconsin Idea, and that is going to look out for Wisconsinites first.”
