To any artist who feels guilty about trying to monetize:

Every dollar you make as an independent artist is one less dollar that is trapped in the corporate economy.

Creating sub economies for independent art, small businesses, etc, isn’t something to feel guilty about - it’s necessary.

If you’re worried about the moral implications, I’d argue that where you spend that money is worth more moral scrutiny than deciding to make money in the first place.
