Prioritizing your loves isn't hate. It's wisdom.

Your kids should get more attention than a random kid in the neighborhood. Your wife should get more attention than the waitress at the restaurant.

Wrongly prioritizing your loves, however, can be the same as hate.

Animosity toward your actual neighborhoods and pretend benevolence toward people you've never met. There is another word for this.

Evil.
