Intel and SoftBank are commercializing Z-Angle Memory (Z-RAM) to overcome the "memory wall" by providing superior bandwidth and low latency for AI workloads.

Like HBM, Z-RAM memory utilizes vertical stacking along the Z-axis. It promises up to 3x the capacity of HBM and higher bandwidths at a lower energy and costs.
