I want politics to be about a better everyday life.

Here's what that can look like:

Don't leave anything for later.

Later, the coffee gets cold.

Later, you lose interest.

Later, the day turns into night.

Later, people grow up.

Later, people grow old.

Later, life goes by.

Later, you regret not doing something... when you had the chance.

I’m going to say something that shouldn’t be controversial but will be. If you are a Christian, you can support border control and immigration being legal vs illegal. You CANNOT celebrate deportations and get off on the cruelty, and be a real Christ follower. Period

You made it, you own it

You always own your intellectual property, mailing list, and subscriber payments. With full editorial control and no gatekeepers, you can do the work you most believe in.

I am a moderate democrat who was no real fan of AOC or Bernie. HC fan. Fuck that. To me it’s no longer Left v Center. It’s fighter V Collaborator. AOC and Bernie are leading the fight. I stopped all money to DNC. Not until they take the gloves off. Will give directly to the fighters. This is no time for weaklings. I don’t care who you are: Liz Cheney or AOC. You fight I am with you. Chuck and Nancy move aside.

Ken Martin is good and he believes in building the party back from the ground up. Which means us. He is in this fight and unfortunately it cannot be done without money.

That is the dirty not so secret too many on the left refuse to acknowledge. Everyone wants money out of politics, but until we get a new SCOTUS it ISN'T. GOING .TO. HAPPEN. Even if we had large majorities in Congress who wrote campaign finance bills with real teeth and a Dem president who signed them, those laws would immediately face legal challenge, land at SCOTUS, and this court would strike them down. Again and again and again.

That is our reality and we need to we face it—to acknowledge we need big donor money no matter how distasteful that is—until we either pack SCOTUS or they die/retire and are replaced.
