below is some more periodized nutrition data from my current experiment, now that I’m almost two months in (marcoaltini.substack.co…)
here is a breakdown of the past month of food intake (that’s for how long I’ve been logging it), by meal type and training session (hard workout vs easy running)
the plots on the right end side include the same data but are reported in percentages as opposed to totals (always grams, not kcals)
the largest difference is of course in breakfast macronutrient distribution, as that’s what I manipulate the most in the context of improving fat oxidation. For an easy session, I “train low” (but still have plenty of kcals from protein and fat), while for hard workouts I have a high-carb breakfast to ensure I can execute them well
some confounding effect here in the dinner data, as there are more carbs in days before the hard workouts, which is not plotted separately
meal logging isn’t the fanciest activity, but makes for interesting data
back in the lab in 2 weeks!
