Mariella Frostrup returns to Radio 4

For nearly 20 years Mariella Frostrup was the presenter of the topical books programme Open Book on Radio 4. Then in 2020 she took up an offer to present an afternoon magazine show on Times Radio, and to her disappointment — “After all, I was only a freelance” — Radio 4 decided that this meant she couldn’t carry on in the role.
