I had a conversation yesterday about Monday Night RAW. I came to the conclusion that every wrestler - male and female - on that roster are over exposed.

I came to the conclusion that The Usos and Roman Reigns are caricatures of old movies where that 3 sibling rivalry was the main focus - the of a hot head, the rationale, and the leader who believes he/she does everything in good faith but on the outside it looks controlling, manipulating just to reach bigger goals or keep a tight knit family so they're not alone.

And after last night's promo, The Usos…well mainly Jey Uso…is/are so whiny.

I love drama. I love complexity within a long story line like this to reach us to WrestleMania. But shit, stop being whiny. Stop revisiting semi closed wounds. Stitch those wounds up tight and move onto another thread that needs completion. Have SOMEONE within this triangle of Punk/Roman/Jimmy try to get Jey to really say why he's so angry and hot headed.

Is it because he's not champion? Is it because Roman isn't champion? Does being with his brother bother him after being tag with him for 20 years? Does Jey need a break? Recalibrate so he can have a successful singles run and become the champion they trust? Is he going through the motions with the YEETING thing? Like have him talk about the underlying anger he has and why he says: Punk has everything to do with us!

Until then, Jey isn't changing. The fans still want to YEET. And WWE creative is missing a lot of much needed story beats for JEY TO IMPROVE AS A CHARACTER. STOP ALL THIS: I PLAY A REGULAR GUY OF A HUMAN but just cosplaying a wrestler.

Hope this makes sense.

I have a show called: Tape Study Series where I break down stuff like this. Talk about things in depth. Sometimes it blends with the Squared Circle Podcast.

Thanks for reading.
