The app for independent voices

Honest conversation? 🙏

Readers and writers,

Are you guys hopping from Substack to Ream or using both?

Do you remember when Ream Stories was hot and it peaked? I'm asking because I logged back into Ream Stories to look around. The app is still clunky but it feels lonely because all I'm looking at is books. Nothing has caught my attention.

And at one point I wanted to use Ream for my stories: Cyberpunk sci-fi novel and wrestling novel - but it does feel like you still need to bring over your community to get support. While Ream has a discovery, if you aren't writing chicklit porn-esque, you're probably not going to get pushed.

I also can't deal with membership tiers. I think about my subscribers wallet too much; thus why I'm always poor for the love of the game in writing and wrestling fandoms.

I say all this to ask:

What's beneficial:

Keeping stories on Substack or taking a chance on Ream Stories or both?

I've made my decision. I just want conversation…thoughts…no right or wrong answers.

Thanks.

Marie
