The app for independent voices

I have completely revamped my IG account - MarieShadows.SCP.

For one whole month, I zoned in, focused, and made content about wrestling (JCW Lunacy) and side questing (cooking, baking, making a flan for my bday).

Instagram doesn't know what to do with my channel because it's not niche. I'm not thinking in a niche world anymore. That was helpful at one point, but now I can venture out in authenticity that many other platforms ignore for feeding the algorithic negative beast.

People tune in because I'm fresh content. There are so many ways I can say: AEW is bad; WWE is doing good things but some stuff aren't connecting as well. It's always been an AEW vs WWE war thing for content attention. Then there's so many ways to say: Uncle Dave lied guys! I can prove it with OTHER PEOPLE'S TWEETS! SEND ME SUPER CHATS!!!! There's so many ways to say: look at name0123456789 said! This account is stupid because of random reasons!

When there's so much of the same recycled bullshit and copypasta, that's not sustainable for their brands and their name recognition. It's one thing to talk about the bullshit from wrestling Twitter; it's another thing to have respect and integrity dealing with Pandora's box.

They can all eat themselves. I was never truly apart of their table. I'm the one that comes in to disrupt after a while. Nasty behaviors going unchecked. Superiority behaviors going unchecked.

12 years on Twitter; knee deep in the wrestling community.

I say this because when deciding to take a permanent vacation from Twitter and not just a mini break, the online world is vastly different. I have 12k non-follower accounts watching me on a renew IG account and not automatically yelling AT ME about some nonsense. While I welcomed open dialogue, I'm not afraid or hesitant to CREATE and put it out into the world. Instagram helped me understand to create and go. And that's what I did. Create and go.

Twitter, you learn to share your creation for the conversation and that's a big selling point for me: conversation. I love the idea that someone around the world can chat with me about wrestling in real time on Twitter. But that's a curse and a blessing.

And 20k views during the month of March (my bday month) is the best blessing of them all.

Taking a permanent vacation from Twitter allows you to CREATE the things/projects you said YOU WERE ALWAYS GOING TO CREATE. And now you see things are happening. It's slow, but it's a marathon and not a sprint.

Marie❤️
