Note to self:

Normalize for yourself to send people you know and random people messages that shares what you're working on. You never know who might be interested in the project of your work and start supporting you and become your biggest fan.

All kinds of content creators want the greatest free marketing of all: word of mouth. That is free for YOU and free for ME. It costs absolutely nothing for both parties.

I was thinking this because I'm getting into the hypest of grooves working on chapter 1 of my cyberpunk sci-fi novel and I already have an idea of who to send the chapters to when I post them on Substack. Obviously, I'm choosing wisely.

But the most someone can say is: no or no thank you if they have manners.

If they say no, that's okay. It's not a close door per say, it's just them no interested. Others will be interested however.

Sometimes our opportunities feel limited because we limit ourselves. Send that email. That DM. That little nudge. So people know who you are and what you do. You are your biggest cheerleader first, then everyone else follows.
