I thought I’d only be back in my hometown until the day I got the visa in hand. I surprised myself, I wasn’t in such a huge rush to get back to Florence, despite being over the moon to be able to now have the long-term green light. And then war broke out and chronic illnesses flared and I ended up in Mill Valley for a month longer than expected. A trip to sunset, a few hours spent with the mountain I grew up on before heading back to my future in Florence tomorrow and…I’m ready now, even to dodge canceled flights. What a world I’m so fortunate to inhabit!
