In September 2024, myself and Niyak Ghorbani were arrested for holding a placard saying 'Hamas are terrorists', in front of a Palestine Solidarity Campaign march. We were subsequently charged with assaulting police officers, and it then took 14 months before our cases were finally dropped.

Without the financial and moral backing of Campaign Against Antisemitism, who covered our legal costs, we would have not been able to challenge this. I would now have a criminal record, and would be dismissed as not a campaigner, but a violent thug.

Even more importantly, this would deter other non-Jews from taking a public stand against anti-Semitism, and against the lies and libels being propagated against Israel.
