Our comeuppance cometh. Saying “wasn’t me” (or mine) of little comfort I understand. I just shared this post as widely as I can though my circles here are winnowing down to my uniformly educated and decent family and the friends who (a) can see clearly what the USA has done and is doing to the world and (b) can actually FACE the facts and discuss them and is willing to maybe actually do something about it.

My increasing isolation as nothing to the suffering we (and f’ing Israel) have unleashed and for ABSOLUTELY no fucking reason whatsoever but to save a bunch of child rapists from accountability and to help enrich them and other treasonous fucks!

But…I will apologize because…I am an American. This is our empire and I’m a citizen of that empire. A significant portion of our country’s population obviously (and maybe axiomatically) degenerated into troglodytic moronism under the aegis of the apex nation, assumed all comforts conferred to be a birthright, bought completely the myth that somehow they themselves were responsible for any claim to greatness while having done exactly nothing, and so fell for fascist playbook. But this sense of entitlement is not theirs alone. I know too many of my friends who couldn’t possibly be bothered to sacrifice one single moment of comfort or the next thing they gotta have to try to ward off what’s coming.

Please keep up the work Australia and Canada and Western Europe and any and all countries currently working to isolate our rogue asses and to insulate yourselves from the damage.
