OUTWORKING AI

It's not hard to imagine that AI will replace 90% of the tasks performed by the supply chain. I'm not talking about moving boxes, but rather the value added by humans. Listening to David Shrier on the podcast below, I learned that to keep their jobs, humans must focus on what AI can't do: curiosity, empathy, and teamwork. Additionally, they must develop cognitive flexibility, which means constantly learning and adapting, frequently reinventing human jobs to stay ahead of AI.

This is true for the supply chain as well. To survive and thrive, distributors must create business models that deliver curiosity, empathy, and teamwork as services customers can purchase. And adapt. Constantly. Forever.

The supply chain must become more human, not less, if it wants to maintain its place as a value-creating institution. Your thoughts?
