My liver’s perfect. My kidneys are divine. My glucose is… a little dramatic. We’re waiting on more tests. And I’m being very brave about it.

sometimes i wonder how many versions of myself i’ve outgrown without even noticing. i look back at old photos and remember the thoughts i used to carry, the dreams i thought would save me. it’s strange how you can live inside yourself every day and still not realize you’re evolving. it’s only when you look back that you realize how far you’ve come, how many lives you’ve already lived in the same skin.

AMAZING! A 90 year old Holocaust survivor confronted Trump's ICE director.

What a legend.

When You're Bored, You're Being Shaped.

Boredom isn’t the absence of stimulation. It’s a test. Of what you reach for. Of what you default to.

Do you grab your phone? Or a pen? Do you scroll? Or sit with your thoughts? Do you numb? Or build?

Because what you do when you're bored becomes who you are when you're not.

Boredom is a doorway. To creativity. To clarity. To the things you keep avoiding.

Stop escaping it.

Sometimes I fantasize about disappearing.

Not dying.

Just logging off.

Getting a job no one cares about.

Growing tomatoes.

Writing poems in the margins of a notebook no one reads.

Not as a failure.

But as a kind of freedom.

A step in the right direction. Let's hope it catches alight. In this neck of the woods, a school announced yesterday that the annual flu shots were being available the following week, along with the Covid booster (the Pfizer bivalent, in this case) I heard several students say 'I ain't getting no F'ng booster....f that shit.' So that was good to hear. Others, mostly staff, were looking forward to getting the booster!!! A lot of masks being worn about town, sad to say. And CBC keeps right on pus…

I worry for all kids now. I imagine them losing a parent or both and it's scary. My adult kids ignored my research I sent. One day, I printed off 50 or so pages with hundreds of portraits and stories of deaths and injuries, youngest 7 year old girl who died. I took them to the high school and left them with the receptionist. I was hoping they would be glanced at, taken into staff room, discussed. Maybe headteacher would get to see it. Lots of people don't open links and so I thought I'd try this. There is no-one coming to put a stop to this unless there is a huge mortality in a short period of time. Of course they could call it a serious flu or invent another "killer" virus and have the guillible lining up with sleeves up for more!
