Last year was a difficult one for many dedicated public servants. I was ready to retire and left on my own terms, but many were fired or pushed to leave. This post is a sort of New Year’s Resolution, dedicated to preserving the culture of public service that is so important to our democratic republic. And it is a tribute to those who continue to serve under trying conditions, anxious about their future and disrespected by senior officials.
