Then I found clear evidence of the Asian jumping worm. It had obliterated the fertility in this bed.
I contemplated removing the soil and starting fresh. Or covering it with plastic to solarize.
In the end I decided to gamble on $5 worth of seed potatoes. Lots of chamomile volunteers popped up too—so I transplanted it around the bed—because symmetry.
And look at it now! Idk how long this will last if worm activity spikes—but I’ll take it for now
