A lot of suffering comes from fighting reality as if it should obey our fear.
People try to control outcomes, other people (often unconsciously), or the future, and when life refuses to cooperate, the mind becomes rigid. That’s where anxiety often begins to spiral. It is not always the situation that starts this spiral, but from the resistance around it.
The mind struggles with this because uncertainty feels unsafe. So it keeps rehearsing, predicting, overanalyzing, as if enough tension could create control. But it rarely does. It only exhausts the nervous system.
There’s a kind of inner freedom that begins the moment you stop demanding certainty from things that were never yours to command. It is not passivity, nor indifference. Just clarity.
You focus deeply on what is truly impacted by your will and intent… and gradually loosen your grip on what isn’t.
That’s not giving up; it’s learning where your energy actually has power. And often, peace begins there.
