Ryan’s birthday is always right around Mother’s Day, which brings up some very complicated feelings. Or maybe not so complicated, just sad. And happy. Happy to have had him and his siblings, sad that he’s gone. I wrote this a few years ago on his birthday and felt like sharing it again.
