My conclusion is that the Harris campaign could unite the party and catch fire in a way the Biden campaign cannot and will not. But being resigned to losing is so demoralizing and pathetic I cannot stand it. I am just a ball of rage. It feels like democrats are forfeiting an election that supposedly has existential consequences to our democracy.
Per Axios, the DNC is working with the Biden campaign to effectively cement Biden as the nominee via this "virtual rollcall" coming up in a mere couple of weeks. I'm on board with you in that a Harris campaign feels like the most tenable way to defeat Trump. That said, the party establishment and Biden himself are digging in their heels at the prospect. We truly need more and more elected Dems providing the data to Biden on how he's faring in the swing states.
