Make money doing the work you believe in

A barista at the bookstore café asked if I wanted a sleeve for my drink.

I said yes.

He nodded. “Good call. Keeps it from leaking onto your pages.”

Then he moved my book to the side and set the cup on a napkin like he was protecting a first edition.

His coworker smirked.

But when I sat down, nothing was wet and every page was safe.

Some people treat small tasks like they’re nothing.

Others treat them like they’re the most important thing in the world.
