Budgets shrink, hours cut, staff replaced with volunteers then politicians act surprised when doors close.

Meanwhile, people still line up for computers, story time, warmth, and Wi-Fi.

A nation that can fund prisons and stadiums can fund libraries.

It’s just a matter of priorities.
