Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese on Fleet Street has entertained many famous names over the centuries, but only one is still in residence. Polly the Parrot was a household name during her 40 years at the Cheese. When she died in 1926 it made headlines around the world. The noted bird was stuffed and placed in the front bar, where she can still be seen today.
