Make money doing the work you believe in
My Rambles Have Commenced. Publicly.
I’m looking for a place to share more openly, more often, and hopefully less polished, but we’ll see, my perfectionist kicks in often, and I want to run things through a polisher (yes, AI), just to make sure I’m not further misunderstood.
I’m learning to be edited without feeling like I’m betraying myself somehow.
I have this idea that authenticity has to be unpolished or unplanned, and I don’t think thats inherently true anymore.
I’ve come back to my love for performance, acting, singing, and so many things I genuinely love and realized as part of my de-conditioning process, I sort of threw the baby out with the bath water, and now I’m sorting through all that.
I realize now that performance doesn’t necessarily mean inauthentic.
Relating to myself as an artist also has been tricky ground, and recognizing collaboration, assistance or support does not take away from the artist, or doesn’t inherently take away.
But it can be tricky with artificial intelligence because everyone is suddenly a great a writer, no one needs to make a grammatical error again, and the right prompt can really create a masterpiece of any kind - words, visual or beyond.
I don’t want to argue with reality on that or act like some punk kid that’s trying to rebel against whatever is mainstream.
And yet, I am a writer.
I have always been.
It’s the one thing that’s easy, clarifying, and enjoyable for me, so when I don’t create a space for myself to say shit without having a point or a neat conclusion, it kind of pisses me off.
So I’ve been writing A LOT lately.
My summer journal could be published as a book, it’s that hefty, and actually, I am considering it (so stay tuned!).
And in that process, I realized I wanted to share and be witnessed. There’s a level of joy and satisfaction in simply writing for me, I’m doing it almost every day, and yet, it’s incomplete somehow. Like art that’s never showcased.
Not that my rambles are art, but the feeling is possibly similar.
Maybe not.
Anyway, I want to share because I want to!
The potential book I’m writing is called “Whore Revelations” subtitle “on sex, power, money, and other spiritual matters”.
It’s about everything I’ve learned since leaving my six-figure c-suite title and Fortune 100 leadership track to become a sex worker.
Yeah! I’m a Dominatrix with an OnlyFans account. Each of those separately is sex work. Even if someone is not having sex with people, you can be a sex worker (in case you’re new to SW terminology).
The reason to name it bluntly is because I’m pro dismantling what my mentor calls the “whoreocracy” which stems from whorephobia which is essentially the fear of being called a prostitute. The idea is that so long as we’re saying this type of sex work is okay (like sugar babies or creating erotic audios), and this type of sex work is not okay, or this is better than that, then, we are contributing to the stigma of consensual adults doing what they want. Period.
Pro-freedom.
Fucking side note I don’t feel like I need to say, but somehow must: Yes, I am against violence that’s not negotiated and consented upon and I am against ANY work that people aren’t opting into because it is in their highest joy and delight. That includes everyone’s boring job, but also sex trafficking and other forms of modern day slavery.
Also, in my book (literally), everyone is doing sex work, just some people get paid.
OKAY and with that, I’m off the mic.
Please comment if you want more.
