47/100: A few years ago, I bought this stash of discontinued Louet cotton chenille yarn very inexpensively from someone in my community. I dyed some of it up with Procion and wove it into hand towels and bath towels - this remains one of my all time favourite projects and I’ve wanted to weave more bath towels ever since.

One of the things I’ve been confronting while cleaning out my studio is stash items that are sitting unloved for whatever reason. In the case of this yarn, it’s because it needs to be scoured and dyed before I can weave with it.

So today I am scouring yarn while working - a simple process of heating water to boiling with synthrapol and then simmering the yarn for an hour. With the size of pot I am using, I can do a couple skeins at a time. Should have it all hanging on the drying rack by the end of my work day. #the100dayproject
