The idea of “high value” was overtaken by an idiotic culture of “dating discourse”. But the phrase can have significant utility if we measure value by objective standards that transcend the vulgar material transaction. The high value woman and man, have not merely beauty and competence, but NOBILITY in character. This is why the hero and heroine in a story are a Prince and a Princess. Their status in a story represent the body politic of society. The fairy tale is about how the most noble people in a society may react to and navigate the vicissitudes of evil that plague mankind, and thus teach us about how we may emulate them.
