Wine crew: Join me on zoom on February 10th at 1PM ET for my next talk, The Evolving Languages of Pinot Noir.
In this talk I use Pinot Noir as a lens through which to view specific shifts in our lexical and linguistic approaches to wine commentary over the last fifty years. We’ll explore what these changes mean for wine’s evolving cultural significance.
I originally presented this talk at the inaugural Pinot Noir and Identity Symposium at St. Cross College, Oxford, last July, and my full paper is forthcoming in World of Fine Wine in March 2026.
This free one-hour talk with Q. and A. is hosted by the Circle of Wine Writers, of which I’m chair. Let me know if you’d like to join us, and I will get you the registration link. Cheers!
