Make money doing the work you believe in

When I started out in marketing, I spent too long judging other people's content.

The relentless positivity merchants. The algorithm chasers. The people selling confidence they hadn't earned yet.

I had strong opinions.

Turns out, having opinions about other people's work is the least productive thing you can do with your time.

After more than a decade of writing professionally, I can tell you the energy spent criticising is energy not spent creating.

Nobody ever grew an audience through outrage.

Nobody ever helped a reader by sneering at someone else's post.

Write your thing. Write it well. Let everyone else write theirs.

The internet is big enough.
