I read about the flow theory and how in order to be fully present in an activity, your skill level needs to match it. If it’s too easy, you’ll get bored and if it is too difficult, you’ll get overwhelmed. This was such a helpful information and lens for me through which I could see why certain things seemed like dread—like my latest gym program—and how I can do things to adjust it.
