I implore you to watch Thomas Flight’s latest video essay on “Art vs Artifice”, which draws on definitions of those terms from J. F. Martell’s 2015 book Reclaiming Art in the Age of Artifice—we must keep embracing the mystery of existence.

This video made me think of the Scientific Method and how crucial it has been in leading to the discoveries humans have made over the years… the human Artistic Process, while not formalized in the same way, deserves the same dedication, in my opinion.
