The government should support small-scale organic fruit and veg market gardens that grow healthy food, increase biodiversity and soil health, strengthen local communities and provide jobs for skilled growers and training through the WWOOF scheme.

If subsidies were available, more crop and livestock farmers could diversify some of their land into organic fruit and veg production to sell at local markets to both increase  local jobs and boost local economies.
