AI Agent Framework Hermes Agent Launches "Computer Use (macOS)" Feature – AI can take control of a Mac to complete complex tasks without the user noticing: the mouse cursor does not move, windows do not come to the foreground, and keyboard focus does not switch.
Hermes' desktop control feature is not tied to any specific AI model, and can be used with Claude, GPT, Gemini, or open-source models running locally.
In terms of security mechanisms, Hermes imposes multiple layers of restrictions on high-risk operations. Actions such as emptying the Trash, force deleting files, locking the screen, and logging out are hard-blocked. Actions like clicking and typing require user confirmation by default before execution.
