This is my 5th month of taking a weekly fast from social media.

Every Saturday evening, my phone switches to downtime mode and remains that way until Monday morning.

I spend time focused on my kids and friends with less distractions and we gather with our local church.

I also embroider, read, and spend time praying for something specific I choose at the beginning of my fast.

This practice has turned me into a person who practices prayer and fasting with intention.

It doesn’t have to be a big shift you plan. It can be as simple as deleting apps or placing your phone on downtime mode and seeing what the Lord does with your time.
