Is Trump a "one off"? Or, more a symptom of the disease of imperial collapse? The US has only been a "superpower" since about 1917, and expanded its reach far too fast, far too quickly to maintain effective control over the affairs of the rest of the planet, let alone its domestic population, which it can't adequately support, even with all the resources it loots from the rest of us.

No matter who the next US president is, there's no getting around the fact that the rest of the planet is moving on without you.
