Today was National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day and I need to know how you celebrated. I had a somewhat traditional sammich, substituting the king of sandwich bread, Wonder bread, with some wheat bread. I went with creamy peanut butter and grape jelly. It was great. And then a friend chimed in with the game-changing suggestion to grill it…
WANTED: Deep-thinking, coffee-fueled, Jesus-loving people who are tired of surface-level faith content and churchy clichés. Must enjoy wrestling with Scripture, questioning the status quo (without losing reverence), and having real, honest conversations about faith and ministry. No prosperity gospel peddlers or “just have more faith” advice-givers, please.
For all the complaints about Joe Biden’s supposed role in and responsibility for the campus protests, I’m still waiting for the protestors to say what they would do differently in a real world where there are no easy answers, each side makes both fair and unreasonable demands of the other, and give-and-take diplomacy is a requirement for a long-term solution that does not cater eventually to bad actors who ultimately would make a terrible situation even worse. There is no such thing as a coffee…
