I’ve always thought that Substack should have a range of badges beyond sales. Think: helpful community member, prolific commenter, etc. After all, if you want to be an engine for a better culture you need to think beyond money. Well, Substack hasn’t taken me up on this suggestion, but Sheila has. Also, Sheila always brings her A-game to the comments section.
Michael Estrin’s Situation Normal takes the Sunday funnies to a new level. Come for the witty pieces, but stay to play with other awesome weirdos in the comments. You might just find yourself getting Situation Normie Approved—the ONLY stinking Stack Badge worth having (IMHO) !
