More importantly: if these organisations couldn’t keep the personal information of their own staff secure, how can they be trusted with ANYONE else’s?

Bottom line:

The Internet was NEVER designed for the collection, storage, processing and dissemination of PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and there is NO way to make such use case safe for the Internet…and there NEVER (ever ever ever) will be!
